FAQ

Where does the app fetch the routes for visualization?

Currently, it only supports data which is available in your iPhone's Health app. Any workouts done with your Apple Watch should be available for visualization by default.

Why is my latest workout not available in the app?

There could be a few reasons:

  • The workout data might not have been synced to your iPhone's Health app yet. Try opening the Health app and waiting for it to synchronize.
  • The workout might not have been recorded with a device that stores the data in HealthKit. Currently, MapCut only supports data retrieved from your HealthKit.

Which other data sources are planned for future versions?

I am exploring integrating with other popular fitness platforms and wearable devices to provide a wider range of data sources for visualization. Stay tuned for updates!

Why can't I see my current location on the map?

MapCut currently focuses on visualizing past workout routes and does not offer real-time location tracking. However, you can zoom and pan the map to explore different areas.

Why is nothing shown in the routes list?

There could be a few reasons:

  • You might not have any workouts recorded with your Apple Watch yet. Try recording a workout using the Workout app on your Apple Watch.
  • The Health app might not have been granted permission to access your workout data. You can check and grant permission in your Health app, and going to Sharing tab to ensure permissions are granted to MapCut app.
